Peas and Pizza

You were all about the peas today. You even liked them frozen. You are actually kind of picky. I guess no surprise, you are my son. So far your favorites are bread, mac and cheese, cheese, goldfish, and oranges. Maybe you just like orange foods. I try to get the good stuff in you - I really do, but most of that ends up on the floor. I have a big guilt complex about making food for you. I feel like if I was a really good mom I would be growing vegetables organically in the back yard and pureeing it myself. I wish I was like that. I work full time - besides I'm not so good in the kitchen in general. I promise to learn to be a better cook so that by the time you are old enough to remember you won't cringe at the thought of my food. Your dad can be pretty creative in the kitchen. Although, he does put weird things together. Tonight for instance - he had pop corn with bacon ranch mixed in with it. ICK! I give him points for creativity though.

Rogan I love you so much. You are amazing.

Oh - by the way you said hot today. I was talking to you about how hot it was in the car and you said hot hot hot!

My Baby

Finally, I am writing in my blog. I have missed documenting so many moments with Rogan that I have now decided to try to make regular entries. This picture, taken by my sister, is hilarious. His hair is wild. I actually did trim his hair a bit recently. My mom, step-Dad, and Taylor were all in town last week. I thought it would be fun for my mom to be present for his first haircut, but the timing never did work out to well. Plus, everyone was begging me to not cut off his curls. His little ringlets are so perfect. His hair is only curly though in the back. I was able to give him a little trim and that worked out well.
Rogan was full of laughs today. We went to the little park by the church. There are lots of outdoor toys there for him to play on. How my boy loves his trucks. We did a little front yard pool time. He ran around naked in the front yard for a little bit. One of the neighbors, James, stopped his car in the middle of the road to watch the little man run around.
Other fun moments today - bath time and story time. During bath time Rog had a plastic cup and was trying to splash me with it. Everytime he tried I screamed which sent him into major giggles. During story time Daddy was tickling Rog with the dragon puppet which made him squeal with delight. And since I was laying on the floor with my head propped up on thr bean bag Rog kept throwing himself on me.
Oh yeah - he made his first DONE sign langage. He raised both hands in the air and waved them a bit when I asked him if he wanted more yogurt. He understands so much. I have been trying to explain more to him as we go about our days. He has brought more joy to my life then I ever could have imagined.
